Loads are coordinated to maintain steady movement throughout the week while allowing drivers to build a consistent schedule around home time.

Freight Overview
You'll handle regional shipments across Virginia and West Virginia territories. This route typically involves 4 weekly loads spanning roughly 2,000 total miles. Individual hauls average around 490 miles each, providing reasonable distances within your designated region. Cargo consists of both drop-trailer and live unloading using electric pallet equipment - no manual heavy lifting involved.

Schedule
This regional assignment runs continuously with mainly nighttime departures. Your shifts include evenings, weekends, and holiday periods as standard scheduling. Holiday coverage is required, including preceding weeks. The major advantage? Weekly home arrival for complete 34-hour downtime. Drivers residing within 30 miles of our facility might take daily 10-hour rest periods at home.

Running Area
Your assigned region encompasses Virginia and West Virginia, with return loads frequently directed through Indianapolis.

Trucks
Albany Trucking supplies 2021 or newer Freightliner Cascadia and Kenworth tractors featuring 1200-1500 watt power inverters. You'll receive a sleeper-equipped truck for this regional assignment. While specific model selection isn't available, all vehicles receive proper maintenance and road preparation.

Qualifications
Valid CDL A certification, residence within our recruitment zone, and availability for this regional weekly home schedule. Occasional powered pallet jack operation may be needed (training provided), though no strenuous physical work is expected.
