Job Responsibilities:

SKILL (Ability to do the job)

- Ability to work in a team environment or independently to perform duties with little supervision.

-Ability to communicate with team members on all shifts and possess good mathematical and   organizational skills.

  • The ability to identify MORE severe defects such as High spots/lows/deep slivers.
  • The ability to use various hand tools such as body files{cheese grater}/flat files/bow files/grinder/da sander
  • The ability to effectively use high lite oil to verify all rework/surface condition
  • The ability to determine when a defect is repairable of scrap.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Some of the physical demands for this position include the ability to lift 40 pounds and being able to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time in a manufacturing environment.

EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED

Some of the equipment and tools used are basic departmental hand tools and personal protective equipment.  Also may include computer and scanning.

KNOWLEDGE

EDUCATION:  High School Diploma or GED required

OTHER:  Safe work practices, general knowledge of mechanical operations.

WORK EXPERIENCE

WHAT TYPES?  Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. 

HOW MUCH?  6-12 months.

WHAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS OR ABILITIES WOULD BE HELPFUL FOR THE JOB?

-Basic mechanical aptitude.

-Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety requirements.

-Good communication skills.

-Basic understanding of weld terminology

WHAT AREAS OF TRAINING ARE REQUIRED?

New Hire Orientation, OSHA Required Training, Product and Process Overview, Understanding the Charter, Lean Manufacturing Overview, 5S & Visual Management, Business Management System, KAMTEK Label Standards, Tip Change Procedure, Robot Fundamentals, and Basic Workstation Panel views.  Scanner training.
