Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing transportation primarily between local YCC facilities, intra and some interstate commercial truck driving.  Additional responsibilities include a variety of manual, routine duties; operations such as material handling and transfer; power and hand equipment operation; and other similar duties primarily to support the Transportation Department.     

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid State Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) including general knowledge and air brake endorsements required.  A documented good driving history and knowledge of DOT regulations and MA State driving rules etc. also required. 
• (NOTE:  Candidates must submit a recent copy of their driving record from the Registry of Motor Vehicles with their application.)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience driving a company owned/corporate vehicle, some of which includes commercial truck driving.
• Ability to exert physical effort for weights 60-100 lbs. or more.  A post-offer CDL physical is required with results showing no limitations or restrictions regarding physical effort exertion and Department of Transportation Driver mandates (includes DOT mandated Drug Testing).
• Ability to safely operate power lift and hand trucks, and related equipment.
• Strong attention to detail including speed and accuracy in counting and verification.  Use of basic arithmetic and English, reading and writing including freight terms and abbreviations, various forms such as freight bills, DOT forms, maps and /or similar documents.
• Interstate commerce drivers are required to be at least 21 years of age.  Interested candidates must provide proof of eligibility.
• Willingness and ability to act as a representative for Yankee Candle Company with a clean and neat appearance, and a pleasant, positive and courteous manner.

Flexibility is required, with the ability to work extended hours, weekends or holidays as operational needs require.

The MA base pay range for this position is from $31.50 to $37.50. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
