Job Title:                                Yard Forklift Operator 2 1st Shift Seasonal                           
Position Reports To:             Yard Manager
FLSA Status:                         Hourly
  • This a seasonal position.  June- Dec
  • Hours 7:00 am – 4:00 pm 7 days a week with 2 days off. Days off vary

Position Purpose Summary: A Forklift Operator 2 unloads incoming loads of vegetables, and loads them into the outdoor hoppers.
Principal Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders
  • Adhere to all Food Safety and GMP Policies
  • Unloading incoming loads of raw products onto designated storage space
  • Loading raw products into the outdoor hoppers
  • Work with scalehouse to ensure proper products are stored and loaded

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Broad knowledge and experience in forklift/loader operations
  • Above average skills in attendance
  • Excellent skills in safety
  • General knowledge of yard operations
  • Ability to drive/back-up a switcher truck
Education and Experience:
  • Years of experience: 1-6 months
  • Specialized training in forklift operations and safety; forklift license
  • Other: ability to push raw product piles with loader
Physical Demands of the Position:
  • While performing the duties of this positon, the employee must be able to Sit,stand,use hands and fingers, bend, walk, push/pull
Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is exposed to variable tempatures of both heat and cold; exposure to wet and snow.
