Jackson Truck & Trailer Inc. is seeking a dependable and experienced CDL Driver Local to join our team in Pearl, MS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of trailers and containers to local destinations while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and compliance with all safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport trailers and containers to designated local routes
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working condition
• Secure loads in accordance with company and DOT safety standards
• Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and required documentation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, yard personnel, and customers regarding delivery status and scheduling
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations and company policies
• Report any mechanical issues, incidents, or delays promptly to management

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices
• Previous experience hauling trailers or containers preferred
• Ability to operate equipment safely in yard and local road conditions
• Strong time management skills and reliability in meeting schedules
• Ability to lift, climb, and perform physical tasks associated with trailer handling

Work Environment and Schedule:
This is a local driving position based in Pearl, MS, allowing drivers to return home daily. Work schedules may vary depending on operational needs and delivery demands.
