Driver, Class A CDL

Job Specification

Employees predominantly engage in the following essential job functions during their day-to-day activities.

• Perform both loading and unloading of the truck
• Perform thorough pre and post trip inspections of assigned vehicle daily
• Perform general housekeeping task and maintain cleanliness of vehicles
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Maintain all paperwork necessary
• Monitor and maintain truck fueling
• Oversee proper loading and unloading of trucks
• Secure cargo for safe transport
• Receive/follow dispatch instructions
• Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations and company policies
• Ensure customer satisfaction through timely and professional service
• Adherent to safety protocols such as seat belts and personal protective equipment
• Complete all returns using handheld devices 

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong work ethic
• High attention to detail
• Basic computer knowledge – must use BASIS, MS
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (required)
• Clean work, driving, and criminal history
• Able to pass random Drug test
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to pass a dot physical exam and maintain a valid medical examiner’s certificate.

This position requires employees to stay on site for their 7-day work schedule.
