Generator Technician 

Location: Lakeland, FL
Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 (Full-Time)

Overview

An established, nationally recognized provider of temporary and rental power solutions is seeking a Generator Technician to join its Lakeland, FL team.

This organization supports major commercial, industrial, and infrastructure clients across the United States and has built a long-standing reputation for operational excellence, safety, and employee development.

If you have diesel engine experience, strong electrical aptitude, and a Class A CDL, this could be a great opportunity to join a stable and growing team.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform service, diagnostics, and maintenance on rental generators

  • Fuel, operate, and maintain generator equipment

  • Assist with installation of generators at customer sites (construction sites, telecom facilities, commercial properties, etc.)

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems

  • Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, coolant service, fuel system priming, inspections)

  • Order parts and complete service documentation

  • Occasionally travel locally to customer job sites

  • Provide professional, customer-facing service in the field

What We’re Looking For

  • Class A CDL (required)

  • Experience working with diesel engines

  • Diesel generator experience strongly preferred

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical theory

  • Background in technical trades, automotive, heavy equipment, military, commercial or residential electrical work is a plus
