The CDL Class A Driver is responsible for safely transporting raw materials from a Bell and Evan's pickup locations to Keystone Protein Company unload sites while ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to DOT regulations, and a commitment to maintaining equipment, product integrity, and a safe working environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Safely operate trucks and rigs while following all rules of the road to prevent spills or incidents
  • Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and on time
  • Use truck scales safely at both pickup and drop-off locations
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment
  • Inspect loads for contaminants or off odors to ensure product quality
  • Follow all biosecurity and food safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean vehicle inside and out, including routine washing
  • Report any mechanical issues, damage, or accidents immediately
  • Refuel vehicles as needed
  • Comply with all DOT and ICC regulations
  • Participate in mandatory trainings and follow all company policies
  • Take a proactive role in identifying and addressing safety or quality concerns

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic understanding of DOT regulations
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, percentages)
  • Ability to lift and/or move 100+ pounds
  • Ability to complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Willingness to follow all safety, food safety, and biosecurity procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar driving or transportation role
  • Experience in food production, agriculture, or raw material transport
  • Familiarity with truck scale operations and load inspections
  • Basic computer skills and experience with logs or reporting systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to proactively report issues
