Position Overview
We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a local intermodal position based in the Columbus, OH area. This role offers daily home time, consistent freight, and steady work operating within a 250-mile radius.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must meet all DOT safety and employment requirements
- Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 60 days of hire (cost reimbursed with receipt)
- Must be comfortable with slip seat operations
Job Details
- Home Time: Daily
- Operating Area: Within a 250-mile radius of Columbus, OH
- Primary Location: Lockbourne, OH (Norfolk Southern rail yard)
- Additional Rail Yards:
- North Baltimore, OH (CSX/BNSF)
- Cincinnati, OH (NS rail yard)
- Freight Type: Intermodal (no-touch freight)
- Loads:
- 3–4 loads per day
- Approximately 16 loads per week
Equipment & Work Environment
- Slip seat operation (shared trucks)
- Variety of truck assignments
- Consistent, year-round freight
- Local deliveries to central Ohio customers
Additional Pay Opportunities
- Hazmat Loads: +$25 per load
- Endorsement costs reimbursed with receipt
