The career opportunity:
The CDL Driver Trainer provides safety and route training to Direct Operations drivers. Hopelink provides public transit through a contract with King County Metro. The service offers bus routes using smaller buses that can go off regular routes to pick up and drop off passengers. The Trainer performs all regular training functions to prepare an individual for the driver position and provides leadership, guidance, and training to drivers with various levels of experience (including drivers with or without a Commercial Driver License (CDL)) with an emphasis on safety and customer service.
The ideal candidate will have experience with training or adult learning and is committed to working on a team in a mission driven environment ensuring a safe and positive experience for all Hopelink passengers. A valid Washington State driver’s license with passenger endorsement is preferred.
