Multiple full-time Tow Truck Operator (flatbed or wrecker) positions available primarily out of our Maspeth NY location.
REQUIREMENTS: Must have current or prior Tow experience with a "W" Tow endorsement and active DCA license.
Positions available on SECOND SHIFT, with some limited 1st shift availability.
Compensation: The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.75 / hour. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, shift differentials and experience. Annual bonuses are offered to employees and certain roles are eligible to earn additional forms of compensation through monthly and/or quarterly incentives. Additionally, employees may participate in our award winning medical, dental, vision, wellness, financial (6% 401k match), and a wide array of other employee and membership benefits.
Additional $2.75 per hour overnight shift differential on any hours worked between 10pm and 6am. Additional $1.75 per hour evening shift differential for any hours worked between 6pm and 10pm. Additional $1 per hour shift differential for working weekend hours. Differentials can be combined.
As a AAA Roadside Technician, you will be responsible for providing safe, best-in-class roadside solutions for AAA members. Flatbed & Tow drivers are responsible for responding to member requests for roadside assistance. They ensure member safety, vehicle security, and education to members on possible vehicle issues. In this role, you will provide minor mechanical assistance in an attempt to get the member’s vehicle safely back on the road. If not successful, you will then safely tow the disabled vehicle to a member requested destination. You will be considered a hero to several people each and every day!

Education
High School Diploma or GED Required
Experience
- At least 21 years of age Required and Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity of electrical troubleshooting Required
- Must have current or prior Tow experience with a "W" Tow endorsement and active DCA license.
Licenses and Certifications
Active and valid driver’s license issued by only one state or jurisdiction Required and DOT card pre-hire and as a current employee within 1 Year Required and Satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment in accordance with policy.
For TOW positions: A NY state issued driver's license is required

*Sign-on bonus terms: Any candidate who accepts a full-time, regular job as a Roadside Technician with AAA Northeast before 3/31/26 will be eligible to receive a $2500 sign-on bonus. This bonus will be issued in two installments, the first after successful completion of 3 months of employment and the second after successful completion of 6 months of employment. These bonus terms take effect on your first day of work.
