2nd Shift: Monday- Friday 2:00pm – 10:30pm

SUMMARY

It is the responsibility of Truck Drivers to utilize company trucks to pick up and drop off HVAC materials, housings and finished units. They load and unload trucks utilizing forklifts and pallet jacks, check all materials into inventory, and stage materials in receiving area. Truck Drivers will also maintain all necessary logs and inspect trucks daily per DOT regulations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drives company semi and short truck to pick up and drop off HVAC related materials
  • Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to pick, move, stock and/or reorganize materials
  • Loads, unloads and moves materials within the plant 
  • Delivers materials and supplies to customers as required
  • Participates in routing, counting and inspecting items while loading and unloading trucks
  • Operates large powered industrial equipment in tight and congested areas
  • Back up other Materials Specialists as needed
  • Successfully complete all essential training
  • Work on other assignments as assigned

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of safety and quality practices and expectations
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Ability to problem solve 
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
  • Ability to successfully pass written and driving forklift testing to become a certified forklift driver 
  • Basic computer skills (i.e., email, data entry) and administrative work (i.e., filing, organization)

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • CDL License (A or B)
  • CDL Annual Physical in good standing
  • High school education or any equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Basic reading and math
  • Minimum of 3 months experience 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed and may require walking primarily on a level surface for a significant amount of the day (>8 hours). This position requires frequent reaching with occasional reaching above shoulder heights. May be occasionally required to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. 

This position may also require excellent eyesight to identify colors, depth, and dimension in the day-to-day work.

The budgeted range for this role is $20 USD - $26 USD per hour. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the desired level of experience for the position.
